Since its opening on New Year’s Eve, 1987, The Riverhorse has been highly regarded by both restaurant critics and the dining public. However, since Executive Chef Bill Hufferd’s arrival in 1993, the restaurant has risen to even higher levels of performance and national recognition. In 1995, the Riverhorse became the first restaurant in Utah to receive the DiRoNA Award. This very prestigious honor, dedicated to “excellence in dining”, was bestowed that year on only 335 restaurants from throughout all of North America.
