The purpose of the Park City Jazz Foundation is to promote the perpetuation, understanding, education and appreciation of jazz music. Through educational and performance opportunities, including the annual Fidelity Investments Park City Jazz Festival, we continue to impact the community in a wide variety of culturally positive ways. During the seven year history of the Festival, the greatest names in jazz have been presented for the enjoyment and education of diverse audiences. While the Jazz Festival, with the presentation of world renowned jazz artists, receives much of the public attention, we are deeply committed to the musical education of the community and the importance the arts have on the overall development of the individual in our society.
The Park City Jazz Foundation’s comprehensive Jazz Education Program aims to fill the gaps that public education has left behind. By providing programs for educators, top performers, introductory musicians, scholarships and outreach efforts for all youth (advantaged and disadvantaged alike) The Park City Jazz Foundation advances our students’ ability to communicate effectively in a global economy and society.
